  • Role of Folk Art in Ethnocultural Education of Children and Youth

    The authors of article review a current problem of ethno-cultural education of youth through familiarizing with art and ornamental culture, folk art and traditions of small nationalities of Outer Manchuria of the Far Eastern of Russia. The authors outline that patriotic education is indisputable problem today, and the task of revival, promotion, maintenance of national culture as well as the formation of the harmonious personality is set out by ethno-cultural education itself. It is noted that a necessary condition of this formation is ethno-cultural competences which are built in at children's age. Teaching to respect traditions begins in families, and then continues at schools, higher educational institutions and institutions of additional education, the ethno-cultural centers. Spiritual communication of national masters and their pupils is based on continuity of generations. It is emphasized that today a lot was lost in arts and crafts of Outer Manchuria. The loss of valuable knowledge as their carriers pass away, leaving this knowledge to younger generation is observed. The question of their preservation is particularly acute. The authors come to the conclusion that this question should be solved in educational institutions by means of introduction of the integrated programs that have an ethnic and art component and modern pedagogical technologies in their contents. Author’s experiment demonstrates revival of interest in folk art in children and youth, in particular, in future teachers-artists.

    This article is devoted to the problem of maintaining and preserving the ethnic culture and language of the Chuvash living in Western Siberia. The purpose of the work is to initiate the beginning of linguistic and, in general, ethnographic studies of this diaspora group of the Chuvash people, the existence of which is an interesting scientific problem. The author mainly relies on the already published scientific developments of Siberian scientists. In fact, these studies are written in the genre of an essay. It provides information about the language, demographic situation, folklore and religion of the Chuvash of the specified region. Studies have shown that the Chuvash of the metropolis and Siberia retain many common features in traditions, customs, religious practice and culture. Their first generation tries to preserve the ethnic culture to the maximum extent possible. The new settlers, as a rule, speak the language and observe the traditional ritual and festive culture, while representatives of the Chuvash Republic often take a significant part in their life. Subsequent generations are more exposed to the processes of language shift and de-ethnization. Observations show that in order to maintain and preserve an ethnic culture, it is extremely important to recognize the need to maintain an ethnic language.

The article highlights the peculiarities of microclonal reproduction of sweet-scented leucoea from seed and shoot explants.

    The article is devoted to the analysis of lyrics by Flor Vasiliev (1934–1978) which is a new page in the history of Udmurt Soviet poetry. The young poet went beyond the generally accepted standards thanks to the rich literary context. This article is devoted to the study of the early lyrics of Flor Vasilyev in the aspect of the dialogue of cultures. The subject of analysis is poems written in the early 1960s. The purpose of the study is to identify and describe literary contacts with representatives of different cultures. The method of analysis is comparative studies. The result of the study is as follow: Flor Vasiliev introduces the names Remarque, Picasso, Grieg, Rembrandt into his poems to depict the general cultural atmosphere of Russia in the 1950s – 1960s, the poet follows the tradition of Russian pop lyrics. Interest in impressionism (Renoir and others) helps to hone style when portraying landscapes and the inner world of the hero. Irony begins to play a large role in the poems of early Flor Vasiliev, the poet learns in this direction from Heinrich Heine. Thus, thanks to the dialogue of cultures, there is a transition from «loud» to «quiet lyrics», humanistic traditions raise the poetry of Flor Vasiliev to a new qualitative level.

    The article deals with the problem of maintaining and preserving Mari ethnic culture in the conditions of an internal diaspora. The purpose of the article is to identify the conditions for maintaining and to determine the prospects for preserving Moscow Maris’ ethnic culture in Moscow’s multicultural urban space. Methods. In 2019–2021, the author of the article conducted a sociolinguistic survey in the Mari diaspora of the Moscow region; the selective sample includes 106 respondents (100 respondents belong to the first generation of the Mari diaspora, six to the second). One of the aspects of the survey was to study markers of ethnic identity in two generations of the diaspora. Results. The results, obtained in the interviews, reveal that Mari culture (knowledge and observance of Mari traditions and customs) is one of the key markers of ethnic identity in the first generation (coming only third after the small homeland and the Mari language markers). Respondents in the second generation demonstrate remnant knowledge of ethnic cultural practices due to a weak intergenerational transmission of the Mari language. The author concludes that in order to preserve ethnic traditions and customs in the diaspora, it is extremely important to maintain an ethnic language; at the same time, as the world practice of revitalizing minority languages shows, ethnic culture can be viewed as a source of initiation into an ethnic language, and later become a channel for its maintenance.

  • Traditional Selkup Belt: Origin, Manufacture, Symbolism, Application

    The article is devoted to the theme “Thing in culture”, and more specifically, “Thing in Selkup culture”. The aim of the study is to consider the belt, an attribute of the traditional outer clothing of the Selkups. It is outlined that the preservation of this element of culture can be highly estimated: during field work among the Selkups, author had an opportunity to see various belts, male and female ones, stored in families and presented in museums. It is emphasized that the Selkup belts are very beautiful, bright, decorated with seed bead and cast brass pendants. The article contains information about the origin of each type of belt, as well as their description is presented in the article. Methods: author's field research in the Krasnoselkupsky district of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug made in 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2018, interview of informants, a number of author's publications on Selkup culture; comparative and typological method and description method. The classification of the belt is based on such characteristics as the technic of execution, origin, application and symbolism. The author outlines that information about the symbolism of the belt was especially difficult to collect, since all informants noted in the belt only the functionality, beauty and antiquity of the tradition of wearing it. Without pretending to be a full disclosure of the topic, the author presents a summary of data obtained and collected. Results of the study. Putting on traditional belts only on big (winter) holidays along with national clothes, Selkups practically do not make new belts nowadays. It is pointed out that belts stored in museum collections are generally not attributed. Study devoted to belts returns to the Selkups the element of their traditional culture in the form of a scientific description. It is assumed that the study will contribute to the formation of a new ethnicity of the Selkups, the collection and rethinking of cultural heritage by the Selkups.

    In the development of modern ethnic cultures, there is a paradoxical situation: the more powerful the onset of comprehensive globalization, aimed at the destruction of national cultures, the more actively they develop. “To blame”, in our opinion, is the ethnocultural code, which rebelled against the dominance of the virus of the death of national cultures and thus led to the flourishing, boom of ethnic cultures. Convincing evidence of this is the deep fundamental processes of revival taking place in the Chuvash national culture. Thus, the unique Kokelev International Plein Air has rightfully become a synthesis of the picturesque national schools of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. The national TV and radio company “Chavash En” was established. Recreated “Chuvashkino”, designed to develop their national culture. There is a return from oblivion of the runic writing of the Chuvash people. A program for the development of the Chuvash language was adopted. And, as it were, the apotheosis of the renaissance of the Chuvash ethnic culture was the establishment of the Chuvash Embroidery Day on November 26 by the Decree of the Head of the Chuvash Republic. Globalization pressure is also causing an increase in interest in learning about other cultures. we tell about this phenomenon on the example of Chuvashia and Azerbaijan. In soviet times in Azerbaijan, few people knew that the Chuvash were a Turkic people. Tatarstan knew, Bashkortostan knew, and the Chuvash – the Turkic people – didn't [6]. The aim of our work is to study the interaction of Chuvash and Azerbaijani cultures in historical retrospect, as well as to draw the attention of scientists of Chuvashia, Russia and Azerbaijan to this problem, which is of great cognitive and scientific importance. The author comes to the conclusion that scientists-humanitarians of Chuvashia, Russia and Azerbaijan can and should combine their efforts to create a comprehensive study of the interaction of the cultures of the Chuvash and Azerbaijani nations in historical retrospect.

    The article reveals the nature of ethno-cultural education of children with health limitations, reflects the directions of studying ethnic as well as spiritual culture of small-numbered peoples of the Tomsk Region: Selkups, Tomsk Tatars, Buryats, Altai, cultural heritage of ethnic groups for the purpose of spiritual, social, moral, mental and physical development. The authors outline that ethnocultural education is a holistic process of transferring to a younger generation traditions, cultural values, social norms of the ethnic group to which they belong to as well as in environment of which they live. The essence of ethno-cultural education of schoolchildren is reviewed; the aims, key features of ethno-cultural education, and its objectives, the main of which indicates the development of children’s interethnic tolerance through acquaintance with the culture of peoples of different ethnic groups of the Tomsk Region. Also, the main mission of ethno-cultural education – the revival of the humanistic principles of intercultural communication, the dialogue of cultures and nations – is presented. The processes of ethnic and cultural identification that characterize the peoples of the Tomsk Region are the subject of research. The following main methods were applied: classes in the school library, a survey of parents living in the Tomsk Region, questionnaires, work with online sources. It is concluded that traditions formed at an early age and activities that are jointly conducted with parents have a large stable character for the spiritual and moral education and socialization of the younger generation.

    The article is devoted to the consideration of "Maslenitsa" in the historiography of social and cultural activities. It is noted that "Maslenitsa" as a national holiday appeared before the baptism of Russia. The author emphasizes that the study of the historiography of the holiday is of undoubted interest, both for scientists and practitioners of the leisure sphere, since such research is conducted for the first time. The purpose of the research is to reveal how historians, ethnographers, and folklorists studied Maslenitsa in various periods of Russian history. The author's task was to show the structure of Maslenitsa, the organization of its holding and numerous leisure forms of its holding, as well as to show through numerous studies how each day of Maslenitsa was celebrated. Methods. Various sources (monographs, articles, dissertations) that reveal the content and conduct of Maslenitsa in various historical periods are used in the study. The article provides a historiographical analysis of the national holiday "Maslenitsa". The author points out that at present the historiography of social and cultural activities, as a branch of pedagogical science, has become an independent section of research on a par with the history and theory of social and cultural activities. It is emphasized that the study of forms of holiday and entertainment culture in the history of socio-cultural activities is one of the directions of historiography in socio-cultural activities. Historiography of socio-cultural activity in its scientific development makes the first independent steps. The scientific novelty of this research is undeniable. Based on the fundamental historiographical material, the author shows the emergence of the "Maslenitsa", its structure, organization and conduct. In the article each day of the holiday and entertainment ways for its conduct are defined.     The article draws attention to the current socio-cultural problems of the Caucasus, it emphasizes the relevance of research in this region. The purpose of the article is to identify important methodological problems in the study of the history, culture and language of the Turks, taking into account the spiritual and intellectual revival of the Turkic world based on various approaches and methods. The application of the comparative historical method and the method of interpreting cultural and historical phenomena allowed us to reveal that the concept of Caucasian civilization is more static compared to a dynamic European civilization. The result of the study showed that ethnicity in the Caucasus is still relevant. In Caucasian culture, the main direction of studying the behavior of the subject is ethno-identification. It is concluded that this feature is a serious problem for the peoples of the region, including the Turks. In general, the ethnic factor is one of the mechanisms governing the life of a person belonging to Caucasian civilization. Along with this, it is emphasized that the Turkic peoples living in the Caucasian region are the peoples that enrich the Caucasian civilization.

    В статье отражены итоги социометрического анализа степени межэтнической толерантности и противодействия экстремистским идеологиям студентов Казанского национального исследовательского технологического университета (далее КНИТУ). Авторы подчеркивают, что для многовековых традиций ислама в Поволжье, как свидетельствуют исторические данные, характерна самобытная культура, отличающая от культуры мусульманских стран Востока, Средней Азии и регионов Северного Кавказа. Появление зарубежных студентов, внешне выражающих свою религиозность и инокультурную принадлежность, вызвало в первый момент встречный интерес, сопровождающийся симпатией, а затем – неприязнь и даже испуг. Авторы приходят к выводу, что полученные данные анкетирования студентов КНИТУ за несколько лет указывают на достаточно высокую степень вариативности отношений к иностранной молодежи в различные периоды, что может способствовать развитию интолерантных взглядов и формированию локального экстремизма.

    The article deals with the problem of maintaining and preserving the ethnic musical culture of the Mari people in the conditions of the diaspora. The purpose of the article is to determine the prospects for preserving the ethnic musical culture of members of the Mari diaspora in the framework of integration processes in the multicultural Moscow region. Methods. The article is based on the data obtained when conducting a sociolinguistic survey in the Mari diaspora of the Moscow region; the selective sampling includes 100 respondents, all of them are natives of the Republic of Mari El or places of traditional compact settlement of the Mari ethnic group, currently living in Moscow or in the Moscow region. One of the aspects of the survey was to study the respondents’ language loyalty, which indirectly manifests itself in in the knowledge and observance of ethnic musical culture. In particular, the respondents were asked questions about the language or languages in which they are likely to sing or listen to songs, about the value and significance of Mari songs in their lives. Based on their answers, tables, reflecting the results, were drawn. Results. According to the results of the sociolinguistic survey in the Mari diaspora, a vast majority of the respondents (96%) listen to (and/or sing) songs in their ethnic language one way or another, under completely different circumstances and using a wide range of modern technologies and telecommunications. The representatives of the Mari Diaspora take an active part in various cultural and musical events, which are held not only within the framework of the ethnic Mari community in Moscow, but also on the private initiative of young Mari activists. The author concludes that the ethnic musical culture, which the members of the Diaspora maintain both independently and in groups, undoubtedly plays an important role in uniting the Moscow Mari people and attracting new members of the Mari Diaspora, it slows down assimilation processes and contributes to the preservation of their ethnic and cultural identity.

    The article pays attention to the interior environment of the dwellings of the Middle Volga region at the end of the 19th – first half of the 20th centuries, which due to ethnonational and historical and cultural factors, may have some specific features. The purpose of the article is to reveal the features of the interior environment of the dwellings of the peoples of the Middle Volga region at the end of the XIX – the first half of the XX centuries. It is emphasized that the interior elements allow us to judge the spiritual and material spheres of life of their carriers. The methods of the article are based on a combination of cultural, historical (in combination with comparative) and systems approaches. As a result of studying the culture of the peoples living in the region as well as literature devoted to the analysis of the peculiarities of the organization of the internal space of the traditional dwellings of the peoples of the Middle Volga region during the study, various documents, data from field studies, as well as museum funds, it is concluded that, with the inevitable variety of interior environment the dwellings of the peoples of the Middle Volga region, the same type of internal layout of the living space is observed. It is noted that one can observe the interpenetration of national cultures, expressed in the presence of common features in the interior of the dwellings of diverse ethnic groups, which makes it possible to talk about the regional Middle Volga culture, which is manifested in the object-household environment and design of interior.

    The article reveals the essence of the ethno-cultural code of the indigenous people of Altai, based on a complex of stable worldview concepts: the mythologema of the crossroads, the filosofeme “Jol” (“Path”), the sacral center concepts, etc., which make up the framework of the spiritual system of the nomadic peoples of Eurasia – Tengrianism. The study exposes key markers of the mentality of the indigenous inhabitants of Altai, manifested both in everyday life and in ritual practices; their actualization in the current sociocultural situation is substantiated and their potential for developing a strategy for the sociocultural development of the region, based on the integration of the biosphere and noosphere potential of the territory with its cultural code is revealed. It is emphasized that the mentality of the Altai people is free from religious and political dogmas; it is sensitive to changes that occur in the natural and social environment; it is focused on events occurring today. Methods. The methods of structural and functional and semiotic analysis were applied in the study. It is concluded that the sacral centers on the territory of Altai are of great significance in modern conditions, so the new model of socio-economic development of the region – the noosphere model – is based on the synthesis of science, ecology, veneration of the holy places of their people, ethno-cultural diversity and natural laws of social structure as the basis for the stability of life.

    The article states that the APC of Russia moves from the stage of growth to a phase of stabilization, that is a reason for serious corporate transformations. Based on the theory and practice of successful companies in Russia and abroad, in particular using the theoretical development of Deming, one of the creators of the Japanese «economic miracle», it is concluded that there is a necessity and feasibility of the maximum humanization of the agricultural management of Russia and turning it into agricultural management with a human face.

    The article analyzes use of the potential internet technologies in marketing communications of organizations and cultural institutions museum-type to increase the demand for cultural products and develop new technologies of interaction with the youth audience. Internet marketing is considered, on one side, as a condition of actualization cultural heritage and preservation of value attitude to it, and from other side – as a condition of competitiveness cultural institutions on the basis of their reflection in the "digital environment". The article presents information on the use of museum podcasts as well as sociological data showing the impact of marketing on museum attendance.
