Academic publication ethics
The editorial board of the scientific journal carries out its activities in accordance with the international ethical standards for scientific publications as detailed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), based on monitoring the publication process and minimizing the risks of unethical practices related to the publication of works.
Ethical principles for authors
Authors submitting a manuscript for publication shall be guided by the following principles:
- the works submitted must include credible research results;
- the authors must provide original materials, borrowed parts require mandatory reference to the source; Unformed quotations are not allowed. A significant percentage of borrowed material in a scientific work is unacceptable, as is complete plagiarism;
- it is important to acknowledge all persons who contributed to the research;
- it is unacceptable to submit a manuscript that was already published in the third-party journal or is on consideration for publication;
- if inaccuracies or errors are detected in the work, the editorial board must be notified in a timely manner.
Ethical principles for reviewers
Reviewer's activity occupies a significant place in the course of the examination of academic works, whereby unconditional compliance with the following principles is provided:
- a reviewer who is aware that their qualifications are insufficient to evaluate a specific study, or who has doubts about their ability to complete the review in a timely manner, should notify the editors in advance;
- reviewers agree to maintain confidentiality and must not share the work for review or discussion with third parties who are not authorized to do so;
- unpublished articles may not be used for personal purposes without the prior written consent of the author;
- if similarities between the manuscript and existing works are detected, the reviewer shall immediately inform the editors;
- reviewing should be impartial and objective; comments should be reasoned. Personal criticism of the author is strictly prohibited.
Ethical principles for editors and publishers
The editorial board is responsible for publishing authors' works and therefore adheres to the following principles:
- when deciding whether to accept a work for publication, the editorial board is guided by the reliability of the material presented and its scientific significance;
- the editorial board must not publish articles that are partially or entirely plagiarized;
- the editorial board must not publish articles that contain discrimination based on race, sex, religion, origin, nationality, or political beliefs;
- the editorial board guarantees the confidentiality of unpublished materials submitted for consideration;
- the editorial board is obliged to address any conflicts that arise and take measures to resolve them.
