The Results of Experimental Approbation of the Content-Language Integrated Module Introduction For 6th Grade Students in English Lessons

- Abstract:
- The article reveals the essence of one of the innovative forms of educational process organization in foreign language lessons – content-language integrated learning. The purpose of the study is the development and the approbation of the educational module based on this technology for 6th grade students in English lessons on the topics «Mathematics», «Biology», «Chemistry» and the search for ways to introduce it into the programs of secondary educational institutions. To achieve this goal, the following methods were used: structural analysis method (in order to identify the structure of lesson planning in the framework of content-language integrated learning); synthesis method (to characterize individual features of content-language integrated learning, to form a holistic view of it); comparative analysis, pedagogical experiment, method of concretization and generalization, systematization of the obtained data, as well as analysis of linguistic, scientific, methodological and pedagogical literature on the topic of research and methodological developments, manuals and materials of periodic publications. As a result, the advantages of using this technology in the modern educational process in secondary school were identified, they proved the feasibility and prospects of introducing this methodological model into the programs of secondary educational institutions, as well as the need to prepare future teachers for the development of teaching materials for content-language integrated lessons.

Potential of Internet Resources in Foreign Language Education

- The article is devoted to foreign language education which is more effective if a student becomes the subject of his own learning process. Modern information and communication technologies (ICT) contain an enormous potential for increasing the share of independent work in the educational process. ICT is everything that helps and allows you to collect, process, store and transmit information in an electronic form. Today, the traditional carrier of the electronic information is increasingly being superseded by cloud services, allowing you to create a virtual workspace. The purpose of the research is to study the educational potential of the modern Internet space, review the main educational online resources on the Internet in English, which can be used, both for teaching and self-learning a foreign language. In the process of the research, both empirical research methods (studying various sources of information, including the Internet, observation, interviews) and theoretical ones (analysis, synthesis, classification of the information received, the descriptive method) were used. The result of our study is a review of the main online services that can be used in a foreign language education. Digital tools for the formation of language skills (lexical, grammatical, pronunciation) and the development of speech skills in all types of speech activity (listening, speaking, reading, writing) are considered. It is concluded that in the modern Internet space there are huge educational resources in English for teachers and students that allow them to promote foreign language education. These resources are an important tool in the educational process and allow you to increase the level of students’ independence.

First Outcomes of Implementing the New Model of Continuous Education in the System of Further Post-Graduate Training of Doctors

- The article is devoted to the consideration of the continuing medical education (CME), which is a supplementary vocational education carried out through the implementation of qualification and further post-graduate training programs. The basic principles of the CME development in the Russian Federation are defined in the article. Among them: continuity in post-graduate training; harmonization with international standards; partnership of the state and professional organizations; comprehensive training of medical workers, that is convenient for them; the use of innovative technologies; quality control and independence, the motivation of employees to improve their skills. During the study the following methods were applied: analysis, comparison and observation. The author of the article outlines that the current regulatory framework for the CME development is the federal laws in the field of healthcare. The results of the study. The majority of doctors accepted a new model as a principal one and registered at the CME website for training. It is concluded that the fundamental difference between the new educational model and the traditional one is that in the СME system an individual 5-year cycle educational plan is drawn up, including 250 credits (hours) of educational activity, which are evenly divided into 50 credits (hours) annually. It is also stated that during the process of implementing the model, certain problems arose: a significant increase in the number of students per year, the increase in the number of organizations accredited for training since it is difficult to control it at the first stage. The СME model needs to be improved and developed, relying on all the best achievements and developments of the traditional system of post-graduate training of doctors.

- This section focuses on issues of improving the methodology of Russian language teaching and efficiency of teaching Russian in a multicultural environment with the use of elements of spiritual (including folklore) culture in educational institutions of the Mari El Republic (humanitarian gymnasiums, secondary and higher educational institutions). The authors of the section demonstrate the features of using folklore in the main areas of activities (both class and extracurricular) of experimental network platforms (FIRO) and the pedagogical workshop (Prosveshcheniye Publishers) and conclude that such projects, aimed at the sociocultural adaptation of Russian youth and their socialization and culturalization, are extremely important in the aspect of harmonizing interpersonal and intercultural relations in the modern Russian society. By referring to several facts of traditional Russian culture in their teaching of Russian as a foreign language, the authors of the monograph (E.A. Plotnikova, M.N. Pirogova) have received a certain positive response. It is evident that at the initial stage of learning, the students should acquire a kind of linguistic minimum, which includes knowledge about the culture of the country, its traditions, the distinctive features of verbal and non-verbal communication, etc. In such cases, the use of innovative pedagogical technologies, including olympiads and quests, usually provides positive results.

Attention is drawn to the methodological system for the development of information-related competence of university students, its components and implementation conditions in the era of digital transformation. - This article discusses the need to create an interactive simulator for a foreign language at the University of Telecommunications. The advantages of such a simulator for use in classroom and out-of-class work are given. The prospects of using a universal simulator in the educational process for students and teachers of the university are identified and presented. The article describes the interrelation of various university disciplines through a universal simulator, that is, it is shown that competent application of an interactive simulator leads to the integration of disciplines, which increases the level of education.

- This study presents the evaluation of use of blended and problem-based learning methods applied by members of the Department of Hygienic Disciplines of Voronezh State Medical University named after N.N. Burdenko in their teaching practice for the purpose of attention span decrease prevention during «cycle study sessions». The research involved 4th, 5th and 6th year students attending «Nutrition Hygiene» and «Legal basis of Rospotrebnadzor medical officer occupation» courses of the Department. The main study group included students, for whom blended and problem-based learning methods were applied during their study. The reference group included students tought by «classical methods». In order to analyse students' attention span, we used Bourdon’s methodology, which allows evaluating students' fatigue and performance capability within the dynamics of practical sessions and the entire «learning cycle». It was found that the use of the mix of learning methods in teaching practice results in the best possible attention span among students, and that fatigue develops faster for students undergoing classical learning. Based on the evidence found, the strategy for improvement of pedagogical process in higher education institutions was proposed.

- The relevance of the study is detremined be the necessity to form a new structure of educational activities of universities, focused on the preparation of competitive graduates, whose competencies meet the needs of the modern stage of the changes of technological structures in the economy and the formation of a new post-industrial society. The analysis and generalization of theoretical approaches and practice of educational activity organization in contemporary higher educational institutions is carried out and possible ways of educational process modernization with application of competence approach to definition of educational process results are defined. The prerequisites for changing the educational paradigm in the Russian higher school are studied and the levels of competencies formed in the traditional educational process based on the concept of «supporting education», as well as the levels of competencies that can be formed in students while organizing the educational process using the concept of «innovative education» are determined. The interrelation of higher school teachers' information competence with the possibility of increasing the education system innovative ability is revealed. The ways of creating information and methodological system to support the training environment that accompanies the learning process, using the capabilities of the Internet are proposed in the article. The article describes four blocks of the educational process modernization, combining the basic tools for the innovative educational process implementation at the University, and lists the main conditions for the implementation of the proposed innovations in University practice. Innovative type of teaching methods at the University should be based on the fundamental condition of students' innovative methods of thinking and activity mastering – the principle of the Trinity of educational, research and project activities of students, both independent and in a single team with teachers. The main goal of all methodological technologies is to involve the student in the learning process, to make him an active participant in the learning process, to form his independence, interest in the active acquisition of knowledge, skills of self-education and research abilities.

- The given article says about the process of IT development of education. The article contains requirements for pedagogic tests and its main characteristics, expressed by such indices as reliability, validity and efficiency, as well as discloses its essence and provides formulas for its calculation. - The monograph "Theory and Practice of Language Education for Students of Technical Universities" summarized many years of experience in a technical university, presents the author's concept of the fundamentalization of language education for students in non-linguistic universities, embedded in the process of teaching students a foreign language to prove its effectiveness. In the first chapter of the monograph, the author describes the new requirements for proficiency for a foreign language specialists, written into the federal state educational standard of the new generation for higher education; problems that arise while teaching students foreign languages in technical universities, and ways to solve these problems. The methodological basis for the concept of the fundamentalization of language education of technical university students and the creation of conditions necessary for the implementation of this concept are described in details. The second chapter describes the modern system of teaching foreign languages of technical university students, the multi-level structure and content of language education at each stage of this structure, as well as the methods of teaching all types of students' speech activity using innovative communication and information technologies. The author of the monograph describes the important role of the teacher in the process of teaching students a foreign language, creating modern educational content that provides the learning process. The monograph contains scientific and methodological recommendations on the development and use of original pedagogical technologies, new forms of working with students using computer capabilities, creating computer training programs for self-study work of students, writing professionally oriented textbooks in foreign languages. The implementation of this system of training of technical university students proved its effectiveness, as evidenced by the results of experimental training conducted at the Department of Foreign Languages at the Southern Federal University. The quality of student learning improved due to the implementation of the concept of the fundamentalization of language education and modern educational technologies into the educational process.

- The purpose of the article is to identify and substantiate the innovative pedagogical searches in the field of the use of constantly developing information and communications technologies (ICT) in Russia and China. A comparative analysis of types of teaching was carried out taking into account the active use of information and communications technologies. Chinese experience is of great interest to Russian teachers due to the rich Chinese philosophy, national traditions and pedagogical knowledge. Russia and China have deep historical, integration, economic and cultural ties. The system of Chinese education brought the country to the leading position in the world and to the second place in the economy. The author reveals similarities in the education system of Russia and China. Positive achievements in the education systems of each of these countries are mutually enriching each other, acquiring a global character. At the same time, the Chinese education system has a number of achievements that have to be integrated into the Russian education system. The study compares the traditional and innovative types of teaching in Russia and China in terms of indicators: an approach to teaching, a dominant idea, a goal, centering on the subject of activity, teacher (instructor) roles, student roles, values on which a teacher (an instructor) relies, advantages, disadvantages, main results. The study identifies the essential characteristics of the types of teaching and makes it possible to establish that, at a theoretical level, the traditional and innovative types of teaching are opposed, but in practice they organically combine, complement and reinforce each other. China's experience in the use of ICTs in education is invaluable in the implementation of the modernization of education in Russia.
