The significance and substantive aspects of the cognitive component in sports and patriotic education of adolescents
Book ChapterPedagogy and psychology of modern education- Author:

- Work direction:
- Глава 10
- Abstract:
- The relevance of this study is substantiated by the high social and personal significance of sports and patriotic education and insufficient development of this topic. The definition of the cognitive component as it applies to sports and patriotic education of adolescents is given. The chapter demonstrates the importance of this component as a basis for the formation of motivational and value attitudes in students. The results of a diagnostic study of the level of patriotic qualities in adolescents related to the cognitive component are presented. A range of topics that can form the content of the cognitive component of sports and patriotic education has been determined; the main forms of education and training corresponding to these topics have been selected. It is clarified that, taken in isolation, the indexes reflecting the development of patriotic qualities in an individual based on the cognitive component are insufficient for determining the overall level of patriotism and should be supplemented by data obtained through testing the level of patriotic qualities based on axiological and activity-based criteria.

- Social, economic, and political transformations taking place in the country impose a number of demands on adolescents, particularly regarding their professional choices. It is during adolescence that an individual must make essential life decisions and find their place in society. The scientific research reviewed allows us to state that this issue is highly relevant and requires a thorough examination of the factors influencing adolescents’ professional self-determination. The problem of professional self-determination is considered in relation to the age-specific characteristics of adolescents, their psychological readiness for career choice, as well as the ways of achieving this goal within the educational environment. The analysis also highlights the existing challenges of adolescence, which often serve as barriers in the process of professional orientation

- Глава 15
- Abstract:
- The study is devoted to the research of older adolescents' ideas about their parents' attitude towards them and the relationships of these ideas with the motives of learning. A correlation study was performed based on a voluntary, anonymous online survey of older adolescents conducted in a Google form. The main sample for studying the relationships between the motives of learning and the ideas of older adolescents about their parents' attitude towards them consisted of 111 students in grades 9–11 and college students aged 14–18 years. Two methods were used: the questionnaire «Adolescents about parents» (ADOR), which allows assessing adolescents' ideas of their parents' attitude towards them separately for mothers and fathers (Wasserman et al., 2001); the questionnaire «Comprehensive assessment of motivation for learning activities» (Vartanova, 2000). Correlation analysis (according to Spearman) was used in data processing. The results showed the presence of a stable core of significant correlations, manifested for both mothers and fathers, between adolescents' ideas about their parents' attitude towards them and the motives of learning. The stable core of the relationships consisted of two positive correlations between the scale of parents' «positive interest» in an adolescent's life and studies and the pilot scales of learning motives selected from the unified scale of motivation for learning activities, such as «the motive of caring for the future» and «the motive of being a professional student». The stable core also includes a negative correlation of the scale of parents' «inconsistency» towards the adolescent with his «motive of caring for the future». In addition, differences were found in the correlations between adolescents' ideas of their mothers' attitude and their fathers' attitude towards them with pilot scales of adolescents' motives of learning.

- Abstract:
- The article presents the results of a longitudinal study comparing the dynamics of life values development in adolescents with mental retardation and normotypic peers. The study of the dominant values of normal adolescents and adolescents with mental retardation was carried out at the municipal autonomous educational institution secondary comprehensive school No. 157, Yekaterinburg, in the period from 2021 to 2023. The life values of adolescents were diagnosed using two methods: "Methodology for the Study of Value Orientations" (M. Rokeach), "Hierarchy of Life Values" (G.V. Rezapkina). The study showed that adolescents with mental retardation and normotypic peers have similar life values, but with some noticeable differences. These differences emphasize the importance of providing individual support to adolescents with mental retardation, which will contribute to their personal growth. The obtained data will also be of interest to teachers, parents and specialists who organize and implement correctional and developmental work, ensuring the well-being of adolescents with mental retardation. The study of the dynamics of the development of values of adolescents of the norm and mental retardation allowed us to conduct a comparative analysis and determine the trends in the formation of values in these categories of adolescents.

The educational process is based on the principles of science, historicism, humanity, the relationship of socio-cultural and educational values, taking into account the age and individual characteristics of students. The article presents a generalized experience of Chuvashia schools in the formation of moral stability in adolescents (secondary schools No. 10, 40, 53, 62 Cheboksary, Secondary school No. 2 Alatyr, secondary school No. 3 Kanash). - Abstract:
- The chapter is devoted to the study of personal and behavioral characteristics of adolescents experiencing difficulties in social adaptation. Theoretical approaches to the concept of "social adaptation of personality" are considered, characteristics of types of adaptation, its structural components are given. Special attention is paid to the socio-psychological disadaptation of adolescents. Classifications of types of disadaptation are given, the causes of adolescent maladaptation are highlighted. Based on the results of an ascertaining experiment in which 142 adolescents with normotypic development and deviant behavior took part, it was concluded that adolescents with deviant behavior have reduced competence in terms of establishing close friendships, which makes it difficult to understand another person. They have a reduced interest both in themselves and in other people. Such adolescents have expressed violations in self-acceptance and self-understanding, which, of course, makes it difficult for them to socialize in society

- Abstract:
- This article analyzes the correlation between the type of family education and the manifestation of aggressive behavior in adolescence. The relevance of this study is determined by the influence of family education on the development of aggressive behavior of a teenager, as a result of which this is one of the most acute problems today. The aim of the study is to identify and study aggression in adolescents, as well as to establish the relationship between family education and aggression in adolescents. It is hypothesized that there is a connection between the aggression of adolescents and the type of family education. Materials and methods of research. The study involved students of 9 «B» in the number of 30 teenagers aged 14–15 years, including 15 boys and 15 girls. The stages and a set of psychological techniques are described. The results of the study showed that 66.7% (20 parents) have violations in family education. This number includes parents who have destructive and mixed types of family interaction, adolescents have a high and average level of aggression, of which 30% (9 adolescents) are boys and 36.7% (11 adolescents) are girls. Moreover, the level of aggressiveness is more pronounced in young men. Based on this, we can say that young men are more affected by the inharmonious style of family education. We found that the assumption that there is a link between the aggressiveness of adolescents and the type of family upbringing was confirmed. It is necessary to understand that what is laid down in the family is the determining reason for the development of a system of values and a culture of human relationships.

- This article deals with the problem of conflicts in adolescence, which in the modern socio-cultural space has acquired unprecedented relevance. Dynamically changing society from day to day, dictates its own rules in the adolescent environment. Differences in views, preferences, thoughts and worldview are acutely perceived within the adolescent group. Due to the age and physiological characteristics that occur at this age, adolescents often do not know how to control their behavior and correctly respond to emerging controversial situations. All this sets the task of teachers and psychologists to help the teenager, to teach him a rational way out of the conflict, as well as to carry out preventive measures, to create programs to reduce the level of negative manifestations.
