- Abstract:
- The scientific study conducted a comprehensive analysis of the existing entrance test programs for the direction 03/54.01 Design in the fields of «Graphic Design» and «Costume Design» at leading universities in Russia. Two main models of applicant selection have been identified: traditional, focused on academic skills, and modern, focusing on project training. It is established that the current competitive selection system requires modernization due to general trends in higher education and society as a whole. Research has shown the need to shift the focus from assessing the professional skills developed to identifying the adaptive potential and conceptual thinking of applicants. A model for the modernization of the entrance test program is proposed, integrating traditional methods of assessing artistic literacy with modern diagnostic tools for project competencies. The developed concept aims to attract a contingent of students who meet the requirements of modern design education, and provides an objective approach to evaluating work, taking into account the diverse training of applicants and their professional self-determination.

- Abstract:
- The paper investigates the problem of overcoming the gap between the declared continuity of career guidance work and the actual fragmentation of managerial impacts at the level of educational organizations. The necessity of transitioning to a transfunctional model of supporting youth career choices to provide personnel for the engineering and technological sector of the economy is substantiated. The methodological basis comprises the anthropological principle, the age-normative model of development, and the subjective approach, synthesized within the framework of the situational-positional paradigm. Based on the research results, a reproducible pedagogical support technology is designed, relying on a cycle of managerial tasks: from diagnostics and scenario planning to monitoring and correction. The mechanisms for constructing educational situations in the micro-environment of specialized classes and colleges that contribute to the formation of a student's subjective position are revealed. Tools for building a personal vector of professional development and organizing mentoring that integrate institutional resources and the demands of the real sector of the economy are proposed.

A comparative analysis of the effectiveness of neural network‑driven versus algorithmic learning modules in higher mathematics education
Book Chapter
Current Issues in Pedagogy and Psychology- Author:
- Inga A. Chaikina
- Work direction:
- Глава 7
- Abstract:
- This chapter presents a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of two classes of digital educational tools used in teaching higher mathematics at the university level: neural network-based applications – generative language models and adaptive AI platforms – versus classical algorithmic products, including task databases, computer simulators, and mind maps. Drawing on an analysis of contemporary scientific research (2019–2026) and pedagogical practice, the study identifies the strengths and limitations inherent to each approach. It is established that neural networks possess considerable transformative potential for personalizing instruction and generating learning materials, yet fall short of algorithmic systems in terms of reliability, accuracy, and the capacity to foster robust computational skills. The findings substantiate the need for a hybrid strategy that integrates both types of tools, complemented by the active role of the instructor as a filter and moderator of AI-generated outputs.

Cultural code criterion in English language teaching/learning
Book Chapter
Current Issues in Pedagogy and Psychology- Author:
- Elena G. Lyakhova
- Work direction:
- Глава 9
- Abstract:
- This study examines the challenges of creating an effective textbook for teaching English at a non-linguistic university. The author proposes introducing a new criterion-the cultural code criterion. This criterion is fundamental in organizing the acquisition of linguistic phenomena that reflect the differences between the mindset of Russian-speaking students and the mindset described by the foreign language being studied. To achieve this goal, a theoretical analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature was conducted, and pedagogical experience was studied and summarized. Based on this analysis, the author concludes that it is necessary to consider the differences in the cultural codes of English and Russian communication in English classes at a non-linguistic university.

Problems in developing reading skills in younger schoolchildren at the stage of word‑centricity
Book Chapter
Current Issues in Pedagogy and Psychology- Author:
- Liudmila S. Silchenkova
- Work direction:
- Глава 10
- Abstract:
- The chapter addresses a pressing issue in contemporary primary education – the development of reading skills in primary school children in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for Primary General Education (FSES PGE). The author presents a theoretical analysis of the problem of periodization of the reading skill acquisition process in young children. An analysis of scholarly and methodological literature shows that some stages of reading skill formation are described insufficiently concretely, particularly the transition from the analytical to the synthetic stage, while contradictory characteristics of the same stage are observed and replicated in methodological publications without proper scholarly scrutiny. Special attention is devoted to describing the problems of the transitional period: low reading fluency that fails to reach the threshold level; a narrow reading field that hinders the establishment of linear connections between words; and a minimal linguistic basis for anticipation (within a single word), leading to numerous errors and significant impairment of reading comprehension. It is during this period, according to the authors, that the actual formation of reading activity should take place, with new objectives, methods, and teaching techniques; however, the technical reading characteristics of students often impede this process. Drawing on theoretical analysis and pedagogical practice, the authors attempt to introduce a new concept – «word-centered reading» – as a distinctive transitional stage in the process of primary school children's reading skill acquisition, illustrating their conclusions with examples from pedagogical practice.

Transformation of the banking risk management system in the context of macroeconomic instability
Book Chapter
Principles of building a new ecosystem: social, economic and legal aspects- Author:
- Olga V. Krutova
- Work direction:
- Глава 4
- Abstract:
- The chapter examines the impact of risks on the performance efficiency of banking institutions. The nature of banking activities is inherently linked to risk-taking; however, under the conditions of sanction pressure, market volatility, and tightening regulatory requirements, conventional risk management approaches are no longer sufficient to ensure the stability of even major financial institutions. Using the case of Moscow Credit Bank, a systemically important bank, the study investigates how external shocks and internal management decisions transform its risk profile. The research is based on the analysis of the bank's consolidated financial statements for 2023–2025, including the assessment of the dynamics of key financial indicators, the structure of the loan portfolio and loan loss provisions, liquidity ratios, and market multiples. The study identifies critical risk areas and proposes a comprehensive set of measures to mitigate each of them.

Reengineering of an organization's calculations with a budget in the digital ecosystem of the Federal Tax Service: a single tax bill as a case of structural adjustment

Principles of building a new ecosystem: social, economic and legal aspects- Author:
- Soslanbek S. Mollaev
- Work direction:
- Глава 5
- Abstract:
- The chapter examines the Unified Tax Account (UTA) as a factor in the structural restructuring of an organization's settlement process with the budget and as an example of regulation-driven business process reengineering. The transition from individual tax payments to a single balance and a legislatively established procedure for distributing funds affects tax and accounting, treasury planning, information exchange, and reconciliation procedures. The new architecture limits an organization's allocational autonomy in conditions of insufficient liquidity. The concept of reengineering reconciliation debt is proposed as an adaptation gap between an organization's internal data and the UTA balance, requiring resources to identify and resolve discrepancies. The UTA is considered as a mandatory level of the Federal Tax Service's digital ecosystem, with tax monitoring representing a deeper level of digital integration. The conclusion is drawn that regulatory reengineering is iterative in nature, in which changes to the external architecture of tax administration necessitate subsequent adaptation of an organization's internal business processes and information systems.

Mechanisms for protecting the rights of subjects in the digital ecosystem: legal and socio-economic aspects
Book Chapter
Principles of building a new ecosystem: social, economic and legal aspects- Authors:
- Andrei V. Seleznev, Igor P. Rak, Anastasiia A. Strelnikova
- Work direction:
- Глава 6
- Abstract:
- The chapter examines the problem of protecting the rights of subjects in the digital ecosystem – an environment organized around a platform, where traditional counterparties are replaced by a multilateral technological construct. It demonstrates the inseparability of socio-economic and legal aspects: information asymmetry and bargaining power imbalances, network effects, lock-in, and algorithmic mediation devalue instruments designed for bilateral relations. The methodological framework includes systemic and functional approaches, formal-legal and comparative-legal analysis, as well as legal modeling. The result is a four-level protection model (normative, institutional, procedural-jurisdictional, and techno-legal levels), arranged in order of increasing specialization and automation. Barriers hindering the exercise of rights are identified – information asymmetry and bargaining power imbalances, opacity of algorithms, cross-border nature of conflicts, and user lock-in to the platform. Guidelines for improvement are outlined: priority of prevention and "protection by design," genuine accessibility of procedures, mandatory explainability of algorithms, co-regulation, and harmonization of international standards.

The labor market as the foundation of the new economic ecosystem of the Russian Federation: an empirical assessment of the transformation cycle
Book Chapter
Principles of building a new ecosystem: social, economic and legal aspects- Author:
- Olga I. Khudiakova
- Work direction:
- Глава 8
- Abstract:
- The study, covering the period from 2010 to 2025, analyzes the transformation of the Russian labor market in the context of four fundamental shifts (recovery from the global crisis, sanctions adaptation, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the transition to technological sovereignty). Using a comprehensive econometric toolkit (testing time series for stationarity, correlation and cointegration analysis, principal component analysis, and autoregressive models), the study establishes that the labor market has ceased to serve as a passive shock absorber during crises and has become a core load-bearing element of the new economic ecosystem. Systemic contradictions are identified: an anomalous relationship between key rate increases and nominal wage growth, rising structural unemployment due to a mismatch between worker qualifications and employer demands, an acute shortage of engineers, and job creation predominantly in traditional heavy industry, which runs counter to environmental objectives. Principal component analysis reveals that 70% of the system's variability is captured by a single latent factor (employment, wages, and the key rate); a pro-cyclical pattern of monetary policy is identified. A significant negative correlation is found between environmental pressure and unemployment. An autoregressive model incorporating the macroeconomic overheating index, environmental factors, and innovation is identified as optimal. The key driver of qualitative growth is the rate of human capital renewal rather than its absolute volume. Institutional conditions for the transition to intensive labor resource management are formulated.

Formation of Reading Literacy in Grades 5–9 as a Pedagogical Problem: Essence, Structure, and Diagnostics
Research Article
Development of education Volume 9 No 3- Author:
- Yulia E. Zhdanovich
- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- The article examines the problem of developing reading literacy among students in grades 5–9 in the context of contemporary educational tasks. In this work, reading literacy is understood as an integrative quality of the personality, realized in the activity of meaningful reading and comprising motivational, informational, practice-oriented, and empathic components. The use of analytical methods is proposed as the leading pedagogical means ensuring the simultaneous development of the components outlined above. The application of analytical methods makes it possible to deepen the semantic analysis of a text and to ensure the construction of a coherent pedagogical technology. The presented criterion-based diagnostic apparatus, including levels (high, medium, low) and criteria for assessing the development of reading literacy among primary school students, makes it possible to identify students' typical difficulties, which subsequently form the basis for targeted remedial work. The article presents data from the ascertaining stage of the experiment, differentiated by age group (grades 5–6, 7–8, and 9), demonstrating the predominance of text semantization and the weak development of the empathic component in the analytical work of the majority of students, which serves as the basis for introducing analytical work as a pedagogical technology. The empirical base of the study comprised 314 students in grades 5–9 (156 in the experimental group, 158 in the control group) from three general education institutions in Shumerlya, Chuvash Republic. Based on the results obtained, it is possible to conclude that models for organizing the educational process can be developed, incorporating components of analytical and creative approaches to conducting classes and extracurricular activities.

Simulation Modeling of Professional Scenarios for Developing Oral Communication Skills in English for Electrical Power Engineering Students
Research Article
Development of education Volume 9 No 3- Author:
- Elena V. Dmitrieva
- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- The relevance of this study stems from the need to bridge the gap between classroom foreign language activities and the real-world communicative tasks that future power engineers face when operating equipment, conducting safety briefings, participating in international projects, and discussing technical regulations. The aim of the research is to theoretically substantiate, develop, and experimentally validate a methodology for using simulation modeling of professional situations to develop oral communication skills in English among students of electric power engineering programs. The material consisted of typical professional interaction scenarios selected on the basis of an analysis of industry documents and video recordings. The main methods included pedagogical modeling, a formative experiment, questionnaires, expert assessment of oral performances according to the criteria of fluency, terminological accuracy, and pragmatic appropriateness, as well as statistical data processing using Student's t-test. The developed methodology comprised three stages: pre-communicative preparation, group simulation of emergency situations, and reflective analysis of the completed tasks. The experiment was conducted over two semesters in undergraduate groups. The results demonstrated a statistically significant increase in speech coherence, accuracy of terminology use, and the ability to produce spontaneous reasoned statements. The findings suggest that the systematic integration of simulation modeling into an ESP course contributes not only to the improvement of speaking skills but also to increased motivation and the formation of students' professional identity.

Discursive Evolution and Pragmatic Ambivalence of the Idiom ‘Ride or Die’ in American Linguoculture
Research Article
Ethnic Culture Volume 8 No 3- Authors:
- Nadezhda O. Samarkina, Aida R. Nurutdinova
- Work direction:
- World languages and literature
- Abstract:
- The study examines the linguacultural transformation of the image of unconditional loyalty in American English through the evolution of the idiom ‘ride or die’ — from a marker of criminal solidarity in African American English and 1990s hip-hop to its current pragmatic duality, where positive evaluation of absolute loyalty coexists with critique of toxic codependency in digital media. The empirical base comprises over 500 contexts: song lyrics, dictionary definitions, social media posts, icles from Cosmopolitan and Refinery, Reddit discussions, and materials from “The Ride or Die Project” (2013–2015), introduced into scholarly circulation for the first time. The methodology, grounded in the discursive paradigm, employs semantic-stylistic, discursive, contextual analysis and linguacultural interpretation based on V. I. Karasik’s model. The findings reveal that the key internal mechanisms are semantic broadening and grammaticalisation, corroborated by data from the Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA), while external drivers include mediatisation and consumerisation. Institutional recognition is marked by the idiom’s inclusion in Merriam-Webster Dictionary, Urban Dictionary, Green’s Dictionary of Slang. In contemporary discourse, the idiom exhibits pragmatic duality: positive evaluations in youth and consumer contexts coexist with critical reinterpretations of absolute loyalty as a marker of toxic codependency in feminist and psychological media. Analysis of “The Ride or Die Project” shows that critique of the concept is not exclusively a 2020s phenomenon: reflexive practices documented in 2013–2015 included rhetorical questions, metaphors of resource depletion, and calls for self-devotion that anticipated the feminist narrative. The study identifies pragmalinguistic mechanisms of critical reinterpretation: pragmatic reaccentuation, semantic differentiation, discursive marking, and reframing. A three-stage model of discursive evolution of a subcultural concept is proposed.

- Глава 12
- Abstract:
- The chapter addresses the problem of formation and accumulation of students' social capital in the multiethnic educational environment of a modern Russian university. The authors conduct a theoretical and methodological analysis of key social capital concepts (P. Bourdieu, J. Coleman, R. Putnam) as applied to the specifics of higher education in a multiethnic society. The structural elements of students' social capital – trust, social networks, norms of mutual assistance – are identified and their dynamics in a mixed ethnocultural university environment are traced. It is demonstrated that the multiethnic educational environment simultaneously serves as a condition and a resource for the formation of social capital: it provides for the expansion of interethnic interaction networks, the development of tolerance and intercultural competence, and the accumulation of «bridging» social capital. A conceptual model for the formation of students' social capital in a multiethnic university is proposed, incorporating institutional, communicative, psychological-pedagogical, and value-based components. Practical recommendations for designing an educational environment conducive to the accumulation of social capital and the strengthening of interethnic trust are substantiated.
