The motif of a relationship between a human and an animal in genealogical legends of the buryats
Review ArticleEthnic Culture Volume 5 No 4- Author:
- Zinaida A. Debenova
- Work direction:
- World languages and literature
- Abstract:
- The given article discusses the motif of the miraculous birth of a child from an animal in the narratives about the origins of Buryat tribes and clans. The study sets a goal of identifying the structure of plots where this motif is present, determine its place, analyze the patterns and describe the variations of its existence. The research materials include texts from works and collections on Buryat folklore as well as previously unconsidered materials from the personal fund of S. P. Baldaev, stored in the archive collection of the Center for Oriental Manuscripts and xylographs IMBT SB RAS. The legends that tell about the origin of the main Buryat tribes: Bulagat, Ekhirit, Khori and Khongodor are considered common for all Buryat people, while the legends about clans are local and are preserved only among representatives of a certain clan. The author concludes that this motif is closely related to the images of the Buryat ancestors, and its presence in genealogical legends is conditioned by the people’s strong need of feeling a deep bond with nature. In addition to that, the analysis of the material shows how patriarchal views of the Buryats are often highlighted in genealogical legends.

Review ArticleEthnic Culture Volume 5 No 3- Authors:
- Andrey A. Emashev, Viktoria B. Bakula
- Work direction:
- World languages and literature
- Abstract:
- The article is a continuation of the research on the mythopoetics of the first Sami novel “Alkhalalalai”, written by N. Bolshakova. The authors aim to identify ethnic archetypes that have found expression in the work. The material for the analysis was the novel and some of the ethical archetypes in it. The study is based on a theoretical analysis of research in the field of a number of humanities, in particular, anthropology and cultural studies, mythology and folklore, literary studies, and ethnography; synthesis of the obtained data, methods of mythopoetic and linguoculturological analyses, comparative typological method. As a result of the study, the authors were able to identify and characterize ethnic archetypes that reflect the values and experience of a particular ethnic group. In the Sami literature, the appeal to the archaic is clearly expressed, which is explained by the comparative youth of the existence of the Sami written culture. The age-old oral traditions that form the basis of modern Sami literature provide a message of the past and present in the culture of the northern people. The study of the mythopoetics of the novel by N. Bolshakova from the point of view of ethnic archetypes was carried out for the first time, which is the novelty of the work. The archetypism of the work of ethnic writers helps to build a model of the world of the indigenous people of the North, to determine the specifics of national literature.

Women’s Worldview of the Writer or the Aesthetic World of Literature (Reflections on the Term “Women’s Prose”)
Research ArticleDevelopment of education Volume 5 No 1- Author:

- Special theme of the issue
- Abstract:
- Modern Chuvash literature, like other national literatures, is developing in many ways. This is clearly shown by those works in which new phenomena are formed that were previously alien to the literature of the Soviet period. The relevance of the article is connected with the need to determine the place and role of the concept of "women's prose" in Chuvash artistic creativity. The artistic world of Chuvash literature is primarily based on the worldview of the people and the uniqueness of the Chuvash language. Therefore, very often typical phenomena of Russian and world literature for the Chuvash literature become insignificant. In this regard, the purpose of the study was to present arguments in favor of the statement that the aesthetic world of the work is not directly related to the author's gender. The subject of the research in this article is the prose works of Chuvash women writers (Yu. Silem, U. Elmen, R. Prokopieva). In the course of the study, the following results were obtained: the writer's worldview includes many components, the most significant of them are the gender and nationality of the author; the concept of "women's prose" is not relevant for Chuvash literature, since it manifests itself only within the framework of individual works and is mainly associated with philosophical, psychological and lyrical the style of the writer.
