    Abstract:
    The article provides an overview of the advantages and limitations associated with the integration of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) tools into the practice of teaching professionally oriented english or english for specific purposes (ESP); examines some specific GAI tools, provides examples of their use in the practice of teaching esp at Murmansk Arctic University, the possibilities of using artificial intelligence technology and the results of its use being analyzed.
