Целью данного исследования является рассмотрение понятия «критическое мышление», выделение этапов и уровней формирования критического мышления у обучающихся высших учебных заведений. Для достижения поставленной цели использовались следующие методы исследования: теоретический анализ и обобщение научно-методической литературы российских, зарубежных ученых по исследуемой теме. Целенаправленное внедрение элементов критического мышления в процесс обучения студентов иностранному языку способствует формированию у них умения критического мышления. В качестве примера авторы исследования приводят отдельные фрагменты разработанных учебных занятий по иностранному языку, направленные на формирование умения критического мышления. В выводах исследования подчеркивается, что процесс формирования критического мышления у студентов – это взаимодействие преподавателя и студента. Основную роль организатора процесса познания играет преподаватель, который помогает обучающимся интерпретировать, анализировать, оценивать и реализовывать полученные знания в практической деятельности. Обучение студентов иностранному языку в русле критического мышления требует от преподавателей вуза овладения языковыми компетенциями, целенаправленной, систематической подготовки к проведению учебных занятий, направленных на выполнение поставленных задач, связанных с формированием умений критического мышления у студентов.</p> </abstract>      <trans-abstract xml:lang="en"> <p>the relevance of this study lies in the fact that modern society is putting forward more and more requirements for graduates of higher educational institutions, to have a certain set of professional competencies, critical thinking and teamwork. The purpose of this study is to consider the concept of critical thinking, to identify the stages and levels of formation of critical thinking among students of higher educational institutions. To achieve these goals, the following research methods were used: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature of Russian and foreign scientists on the topic under study. The purposeful introduction of critical thinking elements into the process of teaching students a foreign language contributes to the formation of their critical thinking skills. The authors of the study cite individual fragments of the developed foreign language training sessions aimed at developing critical thinking skills. The conclusions of the study emphasize the main role of teachers, who help students interpret, analyze, evaluate and implement the acquired knowledge in practice. Teaching students a foreign language in line with critical thinking requires university teachers to master language competencies, purposeful, systematic preparation for conducting training sessions aimed at completing tasks related to the formation of students’ critical thinking skills.</p> </trans-abstract>    <trans-abstract xml:lang="cv"> <p>Ку тĕпчевĕн паян кунхи пĕлтерĕшĕ хальхи общество аслă вĕренӳ заведенийĕсенчен вĕренсе тухакансенчен çирĕпрех ыйтма тытăннипе çыхăннă: вĕсен професси компетенцийĕсем тивĕçлĕ шайра пулмалла. Ку компетенцисенчен критикăллă шухăшлама пултарни тата командăра ĕçлеме хăнăну пурри уйрăм вырăн йышăнать. Пирĕн тĕпчевĕн тĕллевĕ «критикăллă шухăшлав» ăнлава пăхса тухса уçса парасси тата аслă шкулсенче вĕренекенсен критикăллă шухăшлавĕн тапхăрĕсемпе шайĕсене тупса палăртасси пулса тăрать. Палăртнă тĕллевсене пурнăçлама тĕпчевĕн çак мелĕсемпе усă куртăмăр: Раççей тата ют çĕршыв ученăйĕсем пирĕн темăпа çырнă ăслăлăхпа меслетлĕх литературине теори енчен тишкерни, пĕтĕмлетӳсем туни. Студентсене ют чĕлхене вĕрентнĕ май вĕсен ăстăнне критикăллă шухăшлавăн элеменчĕсене майĕпен вырнаçтарса пыни вĕсенче критикăллă шухăшлав аталантарма май парать. Тĕслĕх вырăнне тĕпчев авторĕсем ют чĕлхепе ирттернĕ занятисен критикăллă шухăшлава аталантарассине тĕпе хурса тунă хатĕрлевĕсен уйрăм сыпăкĕсене иле-иле кăтартаççĕ. Пĕлӳ парас ĕçе йĕркелекен çын, тĕпрен илсен, преподаватель пулса тăрать. Вăл студентсене илнĕ пĕлĕве анлăлантарма, тишкерме, хаклама тата унпа пурнăçра пĕлсе усă курма хăнăхтарать. Студентсене ют чĕлхене критикăллă шухăшлав картинчен тухмасăр вĕрентсе пыма аслă шкул преподавателĕн хăйĕн те пурнăç хушакан ку е вăл компетенцие аталантарма тивĕç пуррине ĕнентерет.
